RE: Couples Counseling + Insurance- At RENEWED: A Counseling Collective, we believe in treating the relationship—not just one partner—as the client. Because insurance companies require a mental health diagnosis tied to one individual, billing insurance for couples work can create an ethical dilemma. It places the focus on one person as the “identified patient,” which doesn’t align with the collaborative, balanced nature of couples therapy.

To preserve the integrity of our work, we do not submit insurance claims for couples counseling. We’re happy to talk more about this approach and what it means for your care.

If you would like to utilize out-of-network benefits (Superbill reimbursement plans) or the private pay option both are available, as well!

Sessions vary from 50 minutes up to 120 minutes. The length of your session will be based on availability, recommendation and level of support.

Yes! We want this to be a good fit just as much as you! RENEWED provides a free 15 minute consultation phone or video call with your potential therapist. This allows you an opportunity to see if you connect, for the therapist to learn a little more about why you're wanting therapy, and to set up your first session (if you decide you'd like to move forward). If you do not think it is a good fit RENEWED will provide another therapist to meet with or other referrals outside of RENEWED. We believe this is sacred work and it's important to feel connected with the person who will be journeying alongside you.
